This pink strawberry breakfast smoothie is my 5-minute go-to breakfast! You can use any combination of frozen fruit and any plant milk (my favourite is soy milk for its high protein content!). I also add in ground flax for fiber and omegas-3, but it is optional!
Prep time: 5 minutes
Servings: 1 large smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen fruit (I used a mix of strawberry, mango, raspberry, pineapple and dragonfruit)
- 1/2-3/4 cup plant milk
- 1 tbsp ground flax seed (optional)
Equipment
- Blender
- Microwave
Instructions
- Add frozen fruit to a microwave-safe bowl, then microwave for 1 minute (this will slightly thaw fruit and allow for a super fruity taste in the smoothie!).
- Add thawed fruit to a blender with plant milk then blend. Add extra milk if needed to achieve perfect smoothie consistency.
- Enjoy!
Notes
*This strawberry breakfast smoothie can also be made into a smoothie bowl! For a thicker consistency, simply skip the microwaving/thawing.
