This peach nice cream (also known as homemade sorbet) is a delicious and healthy dessert or summer treat. It’s made with canned peaches and a few other simple ingredients, and takes 5 minutes to make (once the peaches are frozen!). I love serving it with my blueberry crisp for a summer dessert.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Freezing time: 4 hours
Ingredients
- 2 cans of sliced peaches, in fruit juice (total 796mL)
- 1/2 lime (about 1 tbsp lime juice)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp non-dairy milk
- 2 tbsp fruit juice (I used tropical)
Equipment
- Lined baking sheet
- Food processor (with S blade)
Instructions
- Drain the sliced peaches, then add them to a lined baking sheet and place in the freezer for 4+ hours.
- Once the peaches are frozen, add them to a food processor with an S blade.
- Add the juice of 1/2 of a lime, maple syrup, non-dairy milk and fruit juice (I used a tropical blend, but any juice such as mango or orange would work!) to the food processor.
- Blend until the peaches turn into a sorbet-like consistency. If needed, add 1 extra tbsp of liquid (milk or juice).
- Serve immediately! I love serving this peach nice cream with my blueberry crisp for dessert.
