Printable plant-based shopping list
Whether you're new to plant-based eating or are a seasoned vegan, this list will make grocery shopping a breeze.
First up, we have our fruits and veggies. This is usually where I spend the most time, picking out a variety of colorful fruit, vegetables and leafy greens. You can opt to purchase some items frozen, such as broccoli, or canned, such as mushrooms, which may cost less.
Next, we have cans, pasta, and rice. Legumes are an essential part of a plant-based diet, and I recommend selecting a variety of beans. As for pasta and rice, if you want unprocessed whole foods, opt for whole grains or legume-based, such as edamame or chickpea pasta and whole grain rice.Â
In the fridge and frozen section, pick up your favorite plant milk, vegan butter and vegan yogurt if you enjoy those for breakfast or for baking, lots of tofu, and some frozen fruits and veggies.
Condiments and spices are essential for flavorful meals. I’ve listed my go-to spices here, but feel free to add whatever you like!
Finally, baking supplies, nuts and seeds. These are staples that tend to last a long time, so you won’t need to buy these as often. Stock up on pantry essentials, and pick out your favorite seeds and nuts.
*Note: if you are cooking oil-free, omit vegan butter, olive oil, and sesame oil.
